ABOUT US

For over 50 years LA MACINE wool mill in Montemurlo stands out for the production of mixed wool fabrics, of different types, intended for both domestic and foreign markets.
The company was founded in the early 70’s in the hamlet of Prato La Macine on the initiative of Roberto Salvadori, fresh from a diploma of textile expert, and his wife Fiorenza, specialized in foreign languages, who immediately took care of the commercial part.
Over the years, the La Macine Wool Mill exports its typical products from Prato to every part of the world, obtaining great success especially on the American market, in Arab countries and in Europe.
Today, Roberto and Fiorenza’s sons are also part of the company: Marco, a textile expert, and Marta, a salesperson.

MANUFACTURING

We are proud to grind fabrics for over 50 years

Our products, exclusively produced in our factory, are customizable according to the needs of our customers as the trends of the moment evolve.
In addition, each processing is completely made in Italy′and ′at 0′km, as the La Macine Wool Mill is equipped with an internal weaving system for fast delivery.
The shuttle and the English looms allow you to carry out with absolute immediacy custom samples at the request of the customer. All accompanied by a CAD service that allows you to develop any motif and design with regard to jacquards weaving.

Yarns and fabrics

The company deals with the production and sale of carded yarns and shuttle fabrics of different types, all strictly made in Italy and km 0.

Fashion garments

The production of fabrics ranges from the typical outerwear, such as velours, tartans, flannels to articles with a strong fashion vocation (jacquards, chanels, loden, lurex, stretch and cuffed).

Fashion accessories

The La Macine collection also includes fashion accessories, such as capes, shawls and hats fabrics.

STOCK SERVICE

Thanks to the textile culture that has been matured for generations, the company has a sales activity of mixed-wool and fantasy yarns, which are also marketed in stock service to other wool mills in the textile district of Prato, thus guaranteeing an excellent quality standard throughout the supply chain.
At any time of the year there are several promotions of yarn and fabric ready for delivery.

The company mainly aimed at wholesalers and confectioners of men’s and women’s clothing, hat factories and companies that deal with the supply of car coverings, with which it has established a consolidated relationship.
Thanks to the internal organization and the know-how gained over the years, it guarantees an immediate and faithful realization of every project proposed by customers.
La Macine wool mill can range from the production of flat fabrics, such as flannels and velours, to patterned and jacquard patterns, with a high fashion profile, and finally, the innovative three-dimensional fabrics around the English. For its structure, it can offer an optimal quality/ price ratio.
